Anyone who has participated in or attended a naturalization ceremony knows how meaningful and joyous these ceremonies tend to be. The cruelty of this is heartbreaking and enraging.
“She showed up as scheduled, and when she arrived, officers were asking everyone what country they were from, and if they said a certain country, they were told to step out of line and that their oath ceremonies were canceled.”

There is no subtlety to the racism of this administration
The Trump administration has removed MLK Day and Juneteenth as holidays that include free entrance to national parks, adding the president’s birthday instead
National parks change prioritizes Trump birthday over days honoring Black people

And again, if there are any questions on efficacy. A 2023 study by the Surgeon General found there was a 99% decline in reported cases of acute hepatitis B among children, adolescents and young adults from 1990-2019 as a direct result of infant immunization.

And beyond this — it is unethical on so many levels to run randomized placebo-controlled trials in infants. No child in a vaccine trial should be left unprotected and exposed to incurable disease when there is an effective therapeutic vaccine.
Here we have a display of unfalsifiable standards by the anti-vaccine lobby. They want to rule out chronic, late-onset effects from HBV vaccination, which basically means nothing bad can ever happen to vaccinees for decades or else it's the vaccine's fault.

I don’t think avoidance as a coping mechanism gets enough respect

But World AIDS Day still exists. People suffering from AIDS still exist. People trying to find ways to treat them more effectively still exist. And it is incumbent upon those of us with compassion, co...

When we commemorate #WorldAIDSDay today, in the face of the silence of our government, we think of those who have passed, those living with HIV, and the families and communities impacted by the HIV/AIDS epidemic — an epidemic worsened by devastating cuts to our healthcare and science.

On World AIDS Day, remember that HIV risk often changes over time & that our prevention tools keep expanding.

PrEP, PEP & PEP-in-Pocket ("PIP") offer strong, flexible protection.

A "buffet" approach lets people choose what best fits their lives.

It really should be an uncontroversial opinion that antivaxxers who reject science and basic principles of sound public health practice shouldn't be leading important public health agencies but here we are.

Choosing silence on #WorldAIDSDay doesn’t make the HIV epidemic disappear. It erases the 1.1 million people living w HIV in the U.S., the thousands we’ve lost over 44 years, and the enormous efforts of communities, clinicians, researchers, and advocates who have carried this response on their backs.

THIS IS BULLSHIT‼️

Undocumented immigrants already get almost no federal “tax benefits.” Fox makes it sound like there’s a giant welfare pipeline. Not true.

They’re barred from Social Security, Medicare, SNAP, unemployment, and most federal programs, yet they still pay billions into the system.
