Analyses of the Comey indictment are like, "they charged him with dramdingling a leprechaun on the moon, but he was never on the moon, leprechauns aren't real, and dramdingling isnt a word."

My personal litmus test for whether I trust any particular Democratic Senator is whether they're calling for new leadership. Also, the line "I voted no" is an automatic fail absent outrage at their collegues.

Had Democrats held the line, one of two things would've happened, either ACA subsidies or filibuster abolished. Either would be a win for democracy. The only way to lose was to do what they did.

The filibuster is so fundamentally anti-democratic that forcing the authoritarian party to kill it so that they could keep taking health care and food away from Americans was probably the cleanest out from the damn thing, yet this Cones of Duneshire-ass opposition party loves rules more than wins.

I've been saying this for ages. I saw Cthulu once and it had no impact on my sanity. It's not as if the ceiling is made of soft numbers, the salt needs to remember, THE EIGHTH ANGLE IS HUNGRY! FEED IT YELLOW KEYS! R'LYEH UPON THE EYE!
Yeah I looked upon Cthulhu's dread visage and I was fine. Big octopus on a man's body. Not exactly "difficult to comprehend." Maybe you guys should go outside more idk

Amazing thread on the succession fight happening on the right.
I've noticed that there isn't much talk here about the current internecine war that is unfolding on the right, spearheaded in large part by Nick Fuentes, Tucker Carlson, and Candace Owens after the assassination of Charlie Kirk. I know this shit is insane and feels bad. But this is a mistake (1/)

For those still going on about drug boat strikes - I wish you'd spoken up when King Ashurnasirpal II impaled heads outside the Balawat gates in 883 BCE.
And for those still going on about drug boat strikes - I wish you’d cared this much about Afghanistan. I don’t love the use of the military to kill drug runners, but it’s no worse than you’ve allowed for three decades. It’s a bit late for moral hazard pearl clutching now.

Senator Peltola has a nice ring, no?
Mary Peltola hasn’t announced her next move — but new polling suggests she could win almost any statewide race she enters in 2026.

Former U.S. Rep. Mary Peltola hasn’t made anything official for the 2026 elections, but she has some good options.

Interesting thing looking at Longitudinal Data on paranoia is that there are critical gaps in the data corresponding to exactly the thing I'm looking for, and the last person to check out this book was named "B. Ware"? WTF? Wait a second, who is posting my thoughts on bluesky in realtime?

The argument against diversity comes down to "what if the push for diversity leads to less capable people in the job?" But when you lack diversity, that means you already have that problem.
Andrew Cuomo interview this morning on MSNBC and he…
-said diversity could be a weakness
-continued to repeatedly mispronounce “Mamdami”
-CONFUSED TWO BLACK ANCHORS WITH EACH OTHER
