Happy Lunar New Year! It is the year of the fire horse and so Gilbert Adrian’s 1945 Roan Stallion dress seems appropriately flame like as it rampages across the surface of black silk @metmuseum.org #FashionHistory 🗃️🪡

Just scrolled for several minutes and didn't see a single Dawson crying gif. So being the change I want to see in the world.

RIP James Van Der Beek and fuck cancer. 48 is too young. I didn't want his life, but I wouldn't have minded another season of Don't Trust the B.

Workhorse is on my TBR, so I’m excited to hear it has Devil Wears Prada vibes! 📚👠👗
The first of my new library reservations came through, so it’s all Workhorse this week. Very strong Devil Wears Prada vibes so far (in a good way)

If you are a romance reader who is any kind of a collector, or you just value having some of your favorites in print, and those authors were in mmpb... buy copies of those books now.

just to be clear, this also means that huge numbers of romance titles are now functionally out of print. and sure, romance has always been an ephemeral genre, but this decimates the genre in a very real way.

If you're an author, reader, or reviewer who would be interested in being a part of this celebration of the mass market paperback sometime on the weekend of August 14-15-16, DM me or email infoATbookstoreromancedayDOTorg.
I think that one of the panels I want to do for #BookstoreRomanceDay this year is a celebration of the mass market paperback. So many of us got our starts in the Romance genre—whether as readers or writers—with mass market paperbacks & if they're dead, they deserve a proper wake.
