My pinned post disappeared again so HI! If you like gorey monster stories, suspenseful mysteries, supernatural thrillers, cryptid horror, and books where the killer in the woods is a metaphor for grief, you should check out my debut novel, "The Woods: A Horror Novel", out now!

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but I think they're waiting for Dementia Donnie to die before they release the Epstein files so they can control the media narrative and go "look at all the awful stuff Trump did! Good thing he's dead and nobody still living needs to take any accountability at all."

I'm reminded of camping in rural Kansas this summer, sitting up at Scott Lake State Park all night watching the meteorites through my mesh tent and literally running out of wishes because I saw so many shooting stars. Imagining camping like that under this aurora (if it were 30 degrees warmer).

Nights like this are the best. All the trouble of the world is momentarily set aside while we're collectively marveling at the pretty lights and nature together. This is how it's supposed to be. Life, I mean. Shared joy and all. 🙂

I think Rockstar's really fucked up by engaging in union busting, because their core demographic is millennials/gen zers and we do NOT fuck around with worker rights. Atp I have no intentions of buying GTA VI which is a shame because if it had come out this month with no union busting I would've.

Rewatching "The Man Who Killed Hitler And Then Bigfoot" and, even though my first pick headcanon casting for Andrew Callahan in "The Woods" was Woody Harrelson, Sam Elliot would've been a good pick too.

Lil' Greg probably doesn't like this image being all over the internet, but that's what you get when you surround yourself with the tallest jackboots you can find.

Don't presidents usually save controversial pardons like this for when they're on their way out? Should I move my champagne back to the fridge? 👀
POLITICO: “.. Among those who received the ‘full, complete and unconditional’ pardons were Rudy Giuliani .. Mark Meadows, .. John Eastman and Kenneth Chesebro, .. Boris Epshteyn .. and Sidney Powell ..”

This is a lie. All 31 Moms for Liberty candidates in contested races lost their 2025 elections. The only "wins" were in uncontested races. Apparently, being hypocritical, book-banning scolds isn't so popular.

This is the site that's on the current beta cover for "Heliruna" btw.
Just got back from an absolutely lovely day out in Avebury with the delightful @ladyboater.bsky.social 🤗 Was really good to meet Tina IRL, she's really lovely.

Had a nice stroll around the village and the stones, lunch at the village pub, and a really good natter. A most excellent day 😀

Any actual Christian should see shit like this and realize that Donald Trump is the antichrist the Bible warned about. I'm not even a Christian but I can see it.

Not at all, considering in both "The Woods" and "Heliruna" the MC uses a gun at least once. I'm not sure what the final shot count was in "The Woods", but by the second draft there were 55 shots fired and that's before the Nathan/Callahan subplot was written.
How much would your book/wip change if your MC had a gun #WritingPrompt

So the Epstein vote isn't the only reason Mike Johnson should fear Rep. Yassamin Ansari. More of this, please.
Rep. Yassamin Ansari has set up a table and this sign outside Speaker Johnson’s office.

Also important to remember that an occasional accidental misgendering doesn't make you a bad person. I'm literally trans and when someone comes out it still takes me a bit to get used to the new name and pronouns. Most of us can tell if you're being a jerk or if you're just having trouble adjusting.
Remember, if you accidentally misgender or deadname someone, it's very easy to just say "Shit, sorry," and then say the correct name or pronoun.

The two important follow-ups are to not rend your garments and make it all about you and to then also make sure you work hard on not doing it again.

Last night really feels like a shift away from "electability politics". We won big last night, and I really hope it sends a message to the Dem establishment that the way to win going forward isn't going with "safe, electable" candidates but with candidates who people actually get excited about.

The irony of New York City electing its first Muslim mayor on the day that Dick Cheney went to hell is palpable.

I gotta give it up to the writers tho. If NYC elects a Muslim mayor on the day Dick Cheney died, that is one hell of a slow played story arc. Every time you want to fire 2025's writers room they give you a little narrative resolution as a treat.
