This is my daughter with everything, Traitors, films, whatever. If I had a quid for every time I've told her it's called a plot that you watch develop, I'd be able to afford to watch it in my own private interruption-free space

Hahaha! Downside of being offline as much as I have recently is that I missed this bit of comedy that I'm sure most of you didn't.

If Trump changes his mind on Greenland tariffs again, some European politicians think they've found leverage to keep him in check: boycott the World Cup.

I'm starting to warm to the idea of arming schoolchildren.
"School district officials in Columbia Heights, Minnesota, say their sense of security is shaken and their hearts shattered after four students from the district have recently been taken by officers with Immigration and Customs Enforcement."

Yes, the Carney speech was one for the ages.

That said, it should have called out the active connivance of Trump with Putin.

“Great power politics” is only part of the story. Trump is actively sacrificing US power globally and gifting it to Russia (and China).

Presumably for Trumpcoin.

Hey @loanseyjonesy.bsky.social can we get Carney back here to the UK? We need some leadership.
“.. Carney .. gave a magnificently powerful speech before the gathered elites that will be discussed many years from now. Decades, likely.”

I think the proverb is actually "when you're dealing with a T-Rex you are either gonna get eaten, or shagged then eaten, and it isn't your choice which"
Mate. T Rex is eating you either way.

I'm glad Maduro's gotten his comeuppance. Well played by the Trump admin, though I harbour all kinds of reservations about this criminal posse's motivations. I also fear that Trump will inevitably be emboldened by the success of this gambit -- dangerous thing for a psychopathic narcissist to be.

BlueSky has the juice.
My suspicions were triggered by the amount of yellowing in the walls and the gutted wall in the dining room with a round bit of vent work that was likely an amateur attempt at creating ventilation for their lab after the kitchen walls started getting fucked.
