Midwestern. Omnivorous crafter, cook and reader. Overly optimistic about the garden this year, but that's about it.
Last nigh, I decided to direct warp my RH loom to try a scarf (first project) and there were some challenges. 1) My cat. 2)Finishing and realizing the heddle was upside-down and not seated properly to function as a heddle. I'm going to reconvene tomorrow and string everything through again.

Q: It’s starting to sound like underage women are children. What’s the difference between underage women and children?

A: Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Going back to Summers' talk about how women don't want to work hard and don't have high end aptitude, we could ask:

What fraction of young men must deal with a creep with substantial power over their career hitting on them using tips from an infamous pedophile? 🤔

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills: the emails from Landon Thomas has his New York Times signature block...he was employed by NY Times at the time. He was communicating directly with Epstein about Trump, and was given incriminating information about Trump. It's been in NYT's possession since 2015

The way these rich dudes email with Jeff about their crimes really puts The Louvre having its security password as "Louvre" into perspective.

The thing is that if you get your data from DoorDash, it might be more convenient but the costs add up in the long run, because it’s really better and cheaper to just go directly to the data place and pick it up yourself.
They’ve laid off so many people that the government is now getting its economic data from DoorDash.

The lengths and expense people go to in pursuit of being creeps is just mind-boggling. Like, my 401 k is dependent on monetizing AI porn and the creep-industrial complex.
meta pr keeps implying that the glasses and a phone are no different. in response, we say this:
Today in #404DeepDive: People are modding Meta Ray-Bans to spy on you. Already, there are videos with millions of views of men using the glasses to film massage workers, asking for happy endings. What's Meta's response? @evystadium.bsky.social has more.

I remember seeing a PhD presentation about women's protests in Mozambique in the 60s/70s and how the rhetoric of their letter writing campaigns became less "polished" and "formal" over time as the situation worsened. Anyway, maybe Durbin will get the point because I used short words

I watched a documentary (Nature) and did you know that both male and female pigeons feed their young through a milk they produce, and before they get pigeon-married, they check to see that their partner can produce the milk needed for their kids? Pigeons have figured this out.

“WHAT IS THE CHARGE? THROWING A SANDWICH??? A SUCCULENT SUBWAY SANDWICH?????”
Border Patrol agent Lairmore testifies that he was not injured by the sandwich, but he felt the impact through his ballistic vest.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

"I could smell the onions and mustard."

If the sandwich stayed whole, the defense meets its goal
The defense team presses Lairmore on whether the sandwich really 'exploded.' They return to the photo of the sandwich and wrapper on the ground.

"That sandwich hasn't exploded at all, has it?" defense asks.

"It looks like a little bit is coming out towards the bottom," Lairmore replies.

I'm a hick from a small town. My partner, a suburbanite, just initiated neighborly relations with our newish neighbors. Dude's a veteran and a trucker and doesn't want anything to do with the government or law enforcement, but tried to articulate he's not, you know, gonna storm anything....

if there was a rich person with the will, you could build the most incredible news organization that has ever existed just from the wreckage of this year alone.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.
