After all the Primrose Hill new years eve farrago, I went up to Hampstead Heath this evening to watch the fireworks across London. Must have been a few thousand people up there. Didn't see or hear of any trouble - shows that this stuff can be good natured.

It’s crazy to me there’s not been *one* decent intervention by a senior politician on AI, what it’s for, should be about and our society. Unless I missed it? It’s just people saying ‘productivity’ and ‘jobs’ with literally no thought, thinking or ideas. But then I suppose same on everything.

The UK has been exporting loads of its old Intercity 125s with flimsy fibreglass cabs to Cancun. Unfortunately it seems Mexico has slightly different attitude to the question “is it acceptable to have a car on a level crossing as a train approaches”, creating quite a stream of content.
