Inspired by The Jase's video, I realised that the Mr Blobby song also works quite well with the John Lewis advert. But then it took a dark turn...

A 34-year-old as a politician: My god he's like a baby. It's like they just elected an infant to be their mayor.

A 34-year-old as an athlete: You have to admire the bravery of him attempting that dunk, knowing full well the grim reaper is right behind him.

I don't see how Cat can win from here. It must have been obvious that the producers wouldn't have chosen three men to be traitors. David surely would have had that thought.
My view, it’s 100% up to David now that Joe’s going all in on the “I’m faithful, so’s Nick, Alan and Cat are traitors”. There’s nothing to stop eg Cat coming to him with a similar proposition, and then whichever pairing he goes with wins.
EXCLUSIVE: I have polling for #CelebrityTraitors final commissioned, by IPSOS.

51% of Britons think The Faithfuls will win.
38% think The Traitors will win.
11% Don't know.

It’s shocking that the NHS spends almost as much on clinical negligence claims related to maternity care as it does on maternity care itself - my piece for @theobserveruk.bsky.social on the crisis in maternity services and how to fix it observer.co.uk/news/nationa...

"I just had a pleasant drink at the bar with my favourite film director, David."
"Cronenberg?"
"No, we both had Strongbow."
"David Lean?"
"He didn't need to, there were stools. So yeah, me and David Lynch had a pleasant time."

Good to see the comments under this are absolutely scathing (against The Times for running the story).

Love a curveball cover splash
I recently had the privilege of visiting Finland to find out just why the Finns are so happy.

We distilled everything I learned down into this special edition Big Issue magazine.

From homelessness and Housing First; security to sauna, there's plenty to learn.

Can we stop with the 'barbs'? Strange journalese that seems to have become the default for politicians saying mean things about each other. No one says 'barbs' in real life.

It would be nice if the Tory party could clarify if it wants to deport my 72 year old mum.
Slightly confusing briefing with Badenoch's spokesman & a Tory press person on their/Katie Lam's migration plans. Here's what I could follow:
• Tory policy on revoking indefinite leave to remain is "broadly in line with what Katie said" (they "haven't seen" her idea it's extended to EU nationals) ..

This is basically my dream job, so no shade towards the business pages from me, but as a former PM wouldn't you hold out for, you know, the main comment pages? I guess Business gives him more scope to be nerdy.
Former prime minister Rishi Sunak is joining The Sunday Times as a columnist, starting 26 October. He will contribute a weekly column to the Business section on subjects including business, technology, politics and the economy

I've been blaming memes for this, and I think it fits. A lot of the angriest people out there aren't actually consuming news, they're consuming news-flavored content, and the content is a funhouse mirror version of reality that they're mistaking for being real.
