All four Fine Gael MEPs voted with the far-right: Nina Carberry, Regina Doherty, Seán Kelly, Maria Walsh

Independent Ireland MEP Ciaran Mullooly also sided with the far-right

The centre-right abandoned talks with the greens, centre-left and liberals on an alternative deal
EU conservatives vote with far right to approve cuts to green rules
The outcome highlights the EPP’s willingness to abandon its traditional centrist coalition allies.

MAGA: "Release the Epstein files"

Trump: "No"

Congress: "Here are 20,000 documents with deeply troubling messages from Epstein about Trump."

MAGA: "It's a hoax"

All MAGA Wanted Was the Epstein Files. Now They're Ignoring Them
For years, MAGA influencers demanded the release of the Epstein files. Now that 20,000 documents have been released, many raising questions about Donald Trump, they're shrugging.

Been saying exactly this for a few years now. We always think in stick, not carrot. The government does not act in our overall best interest.
ireland is way off track for its EU climate targets for 2030! we're gonna have to pay €28 BILLION in fines because we promised to cut pollution and then decided to buy loads of gas instead! that money could insulate people's homes, cut bills, cut pollution and cut fuel imports! it would create jobs!

This happened outside my kids school, and it involved armed Gardaí, until the teacher closed the blinds. School went into a bit of a lockdown, a few kids exposed to social media were terrified it was a school shooting. Honestly was wondering how accurate he was telling me about it jrnl.ie/6872796
Third man arrested in connection with cross-border terrorism investigation
He is currently detained at a garda station in the Midlands.

Has this not been predicted to last until 2040? And been ongoing for the last 10+ years.. So hanging in there seems just *a tad* tone deaf

If it is one thing Starmer would recognise, it's probably spinelessness tbf
🎥 Watch as Keir Starmer calls Nigel Farage 'utterly spineless' for refusing to condemn a Reform UK councillor who called children in care 'evil'.

So let me understand this, Democrats voted against their own party to end the shutdown in the US, for exactly nothing in return 🤣

People clearly don't understand what the word ceasefire means, certainly the BBC don't

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Israel has destroyed more than 1,500 buildings in Gaza since ceasefire
Entire neighbourhoods controlled by Israel have been levelled in less than a month, the images show.

What frustrates me about this isn't that O' Brien is a miserable dick. It's that there's a plethora of evidence-based studies available on the subject of remote work and none of them are referred to.
"Rich dick says shit" is less useful than "Dick says something contradicted/supported by studies"

These are all the Presidents I've been aware of in my lifetime so far. I existed during Hillery's stint as president, but have no memory of them.
President Connolly is the latest link in the longest chain of democratically elected heads of state in any European country.

Thanks to An Taoiseach for that historical nugget. @micheal-martin.bsky.social

My kids will be delighted that the Toy Man™ will be back I'm sure.

He was at pains to say he was leaving the late late show before that pay issue broke.

Honestly, if RTÉ take him back, they are clowns.

Given the amount of absolute shite he spews, organisations need to stop acquiescing to this ghoul. It won't spare you. Everyone needs to sue him for every lie he spouts, just bury the guy in lawsuits.
Donald Trump has given the BBC one week to comply with his demands for an apology and compensation or face a $1 billion lawsuit over an edited speech in a Panorama documentary. The BBC chairman has apologised for what he called an “error of judgment.”

President Michael D. Higgins and his wife Sabina are preparing to leave Áras an Uachtaráin for the final time this evening as his term comes to an end.

Catherine Connolly will be inaugurated tomorrow as Ireland’s next president.

I hate throwing stuff away. We've been cleaning out the attic/shed/presses lately. We've loads of kids stuff we no longer need, and we've given them to people in DP/IPAS. As well as having furniture we've put up in the residents group. I've even repurposed old ikea furniture to save buying new bits.
