People will say Greenland and Venezuela isn't the same, but it really is.

The USA has no claim to either.
Neither have committed any crime against the USA.
They both have Oil/Minerals the US wants.
They are both illegally threatened with invasion or have been.

It is the same.

Why have no Fujitsu executives been jailed when they

- said it would pay recompense but hasn't
... and meanwhile
-keep getting government contracts

I feel like every European leader is waiting for the Trump storm to blow over.

But what happens if the storm invades Greenland, Cuba, Columbia, destroys NATO, abandons Ukraine, shrugs as China takes Taiwan?

Can post-Trump Dems put all that right again? Nope.

This storm changes everything.

I invite @goodlawproject.org, who I think have many of the "receipts" , to comment.
Labour's failure to pursue in particular Johnson, Gove and Hancock and many other Tory politicians, over the numerous allegations of involvement in corrupt pandemic contract dealings, despite promises to the contrary, is one of Starmer's biggest betrayals.

Maybe @goodlawproject.org will confirm.
We have almost exactly this problem in the UK, where the current Labour govt has demonstrated reluctance to pursue the many corrupt Tories who profited criminally from the pandemic, particularly the most senior politicians.

It arises from misguided fear of bringing the entire system into disrepute.

The idea that Europe and the UK can't risk falling out with Trump because USA provides our weapons is nonsense. We can build our own weapons, which would make us safer and boost our stagnant economies. Any competent politician would tell you so.

Oh. Now I see the issue.

Starmer has put himself with Farage in a very similar position on Venezuela.

The only difference being - gobsmackingly - that Nigel Farage at least acknowledges it's contrary to international law!
I think it is as absurd that Polanski is lumping Starmer together with Farage as it is that Starmer is lumping Polanski together with Farage. I also think it is probably doing neither of them any good.
"The only flags Farage and Starmer have been waving this weekend are white."

I am extremely confused as to why the UK government and police are saying Grok’s mass-scale CSAM generation is an issue for Ofcom.

This isn’t about X failing to moderate CSAM, which is an Online Safety Act issue. It is about the company and its technology being actively involved in its generation.

Most importantly, Miller is wrong. Plenty of stable societies existed that did not conform to his "iron laws". Such "laws" might apply, however, to centralised, hierarchical political systems, especially those dominated by psychopaths like Stephen Miller.
"We live in a world, in the real world … that is governed by strength, that is governed by force, that is governed by power. These are the iron laws of the world since the beginning of time."

And with these words, Stephen Miller damns his soul to hell for all eternity.
