Granted, people can assert that reading Bram Stoker’s Dracula in a dimly-lit café in Prague on a snowy day whilst having multiple cappuccinos and croissants “won’t fix you”, but they’re failing to understand an undeniable truth:

It certainly can’t hurt.

If you let them, the horrors will devour you whole. Making space to live and smile is an act of resistance. So is helping others to do the same. If you’re an artist in this time, remember that what you’re doing is part of the emotional support infrastructure. They want you silent. 1/2

heard yet another ad for a meal plan/menu service and it occurred to me the health arm of the regime may implement its own at some point in pushing its so-called nutritional guidance

More convenient to listen to the podcast, sure, but you can also stream the video and that makes it like 3x better and it was already a joy to begin with
I've been catching up on Steve Burns' Alive podcast and it is such an intriguing and thought-provoking break in my day.

Funny how everyone just stopped talking about the Epstein Files ever since Trump invaded Venezuela and Minnesota. Dog successfully wagged.

Direct File may be dead but Free File is still an option for the time being. However you file your taxes, it's worth remembering that TurboTax screwed millions of people over for years with its deceptive tactics.
The IRS is reportedly not offering its Direct File program next year. Here’s a look back at how TurboTax owner Intuit spent two decades fighting to prevent Americans from filing their taxes online for free:

Inside TurboTax’s 20-Year Fight to Stop Americans From Filing Their Taxes for Free
Using lobbying, the revolving door and “dark pattern” customer tricks, Intuit fended off the government’s attempts to make tax filing free and easy, and created its multi-billion-dollar franchise.

Light hearted television shows.
Bobs Burgers, New Girl, and I’m considering adding Scrubs to the rotation of rewatching.
Maybe this is just zoning out but not sure what else to do.

The Kid and I got up early this morning to watch the new episode of The Pitt. Much joy, both from the show and spending time with her. She's a fucking delight.
Uplift post: Tell me friends, what is bringing you joy right now? It can be something new or something familiar, something small or something momentous. What is lighting you up right now?
