Thrilled to announce that Amanda Jones @librarianjones.com has prevailed in her latest court battle against Michael Lunsford & Citizens for a New Louisiana. In a unanimous decision the LA Supreme Court has declined to hear Lunsford's request for dismissal, leaving the 1st Circuit's ruling intact.

I promise we don't lend laptops. I promise we haven't for a while. I promise that when we did they were not Macs and they did not run Photoshop. I promise cuz I kinda run the shop. But feel free not to believe me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Chat, is it bad when most of your dreams involve looking for a bed to sleep in because you're exhausted?

These people are so unserious.
Rep Mark Alford (R-MO) says House Rs are "investigating" Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show & talking with FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr. Alford says he didn't watch the whole thing & also doesn't know Spanish but suspects it might have been "much worse than the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction"

YES. I had a great resume that went to the bottom because of a terrible, generic cover letter.

Like, the job market sucks. I get that. But that's all the more reason to spend some time making your application stand out.

It's ok if you're applying for a job making feathers and you've never made feathers before -- just tell me how your previous work experience will help you make feathers!

Job applicants: please please PLEASE pay careful attention to your cover letter. Tell me you know what job you're applying for, and why you're applying, ESPECIALLY if it's in a career not covered in your resume.

I am seeing some incredibly good resumes and just TERRIBLE letters.

And let me just say this:

ALL of the WHITE Democratic governors knew Wes Moore was missing from the dinner because he's the ONLY Black governor. You didn't notice the Black guy wasn't there?

Nobody said "Hey, where's Wes at?"

Or they just shrugged and kept eating their meal?

I wanna know.
It's good this stuff is happening because this is when and how you know what people are all about.

All of them should say something but in particular Newsom, Whitmer, Pritzer, Beshear and Shapiro need to be opening their mouths right now to condemn Moore's exclusion.

Did you know doing something like historical advising for Bad Bunny is not necessarily the kind of thing that counts for tenure at American research universities?

Did you know we’ve been doing our part to change that at the Office of Public Scholarship at WashU?

Did you know we’re hiring?

When you come across racists complaining about Bad Bunny today, don’t forget to hit them with this: Puerto Rican literature about Puerto Rico written by a boricua. Yo sería borincano aunque naciera en la luna. Thanks and hope you have a great Sunday!

Look, all I'm saying is that if you just spent the last six years being frustrated with Durbin and you think there's a chance he's about to be replaced with a guy who thanks ICE for their service and takes AIPAC and crypto money, you should treat it like a very serious emergency
