The deal be wants to renegotiate that he says has resulted in the US being ripped off is the deal he negotiated and signed the first time he was president.
From the WSJ: tariff commentary from Trump is an effort to push up renegotiation of the USMCA. That will definitely work given it's now being reported as a negotiating tactic, right?
Trump Pushes for Early Renegotiation of U.S. Trade Deal With Mexico, Canada
President Trump is using the threat of stiff tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico to pressure the two nations to start renegotiating a continental trade deal.

After a week of watching video of the LA fires, I am totally full of sadness for everyone who lives there. It can never be the same, even if it is rebuilt.

The "Gulf of Mexico" was named by Spanish explorers in roughly 1518. At that time, North America was called "Terra Incognita." Only South America was called "America."

So... the name "Gulf of Mexico" is older than "America" as a North American reference. It's older than the Spanish conquest even.

John Roberts is very upset that the public has lost confidence in John Roberts and the institution John Roberts leads following a series of confidence-cratering actions by John Roberts and his colleagues, and therefore would like everyone to know that this is not John Roberts' fault, it's yours.

for context NYC offered a $10k reward for any critical information about the homocide which is about the cost of a single 15 minute ambulance ride after UnitedHealthcare denies coverage bc the EMTs responding to the call were out of network
As police hunted for the missing gunman in a fatal “targeted attack” on the CEO of UnitedHealthcare in Manhattan on Wednesday morning, social media erupted with contempt for the health insurance industry he represented—and his company in particular:

My favorite detail of that CEO shooting video is the witness that realizes what's happening and starts to run away, but can't run too fast because they're holding a coffee and don't want to spill it.

This tells you everything. you need to know about trusting AI in healthcare.
Asked Google AI whether Brian Thompson's killer had been caught. It said:

Yes, a murder suspect in the killing of Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was captured after months on the run. The suspect fell through the ceiling and was taken into custody.

Interestingly, this was *not* the insurer whose CEO was just assassinated

Yes, there are lots of negatives around the Pete Hegseth nomination -- the rampant alcoholism, the allegations of sexual assault, the hush money payment to an accuser, the total incompetence leading non-profits, and so on.

But ask yourself:

Does all that outweigh the total lack of positives?

No shit murder is bad. The jokes about the United CEO aren’t really about him; they’re about the rapacious healthcare system he personified and which Americans feel deep pain and humiliation about
