It's the 10 year anniversary of #lifeisstrange 🦋

This game means so much to me, as it helped me with my gender years ago and I relate to it even more now as a sapphic woman.

Here's a repaint of the cover, I was trying to see if I could make it look more like Max ingame

We keep hearing about masculinity from the Zuckerbergs of the world-- this woman has shown more courage in this 60-second clip than any of the tech billionaires have shown in recent memory as they grovel at Trump's feet.
Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde to Trump: "I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender people in Democratic, Republican, and independent families, some who fear for their lives ... and the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals"

FYI, folks from Bluesky. Workers at The Barn, among other agricultural buildings, are now shutting the door after the horse got out. Shutting the door, telling people the door is shut, is a form of accountability for the horse that’s now completely free.
FYI, folks from Bluesky. Reporters at The NYT, among other news organizations, are now generating a giant wave of accountability stories about the new Trump era. Reading these stories, sharing them, is a form of accountability as well. It is a form of participatory democracy too. Substance matters.

I am once again profoundly depressed at the prospect of having to vote uselessly to avoid a Conservative supermajority, while hating every option.

Vote for the Liberals who have been SO disappointing on so many issues? Or the craven opportunists in the NDP, following the disgusting Layton playbook?

Back to work and, for the first time in six years I'm actually looking forward to it. To the Bookmobile!

Once upon a time, not the entire internet was 4chan. Only 4chan was 4chan, because everywhere else would kick you out for Doing 4chan in their spaces.

It sounds utopian, but it is true.
When social media sites tell you moderation has limits I want you to know there was a time when you could only find the worst people on obscure forums created for being offensive because everywhere else moderated them into those corners.

I'm feeling incredibly jaded about that Game Awards. Think it's gonna be the last one I watch tbh.

At least The Witcher 4 looked cool. But even that... I can only hope it isn't broken on release and (most importantly) doesn't break the lives of crunched and overworked employees.

To all the people upset about Luigi Mangione being made into a folk hero. Now you know how we felt when you made Kyle Rittenhouse into a hero.

#GameAwards 2024. Big self-congratulatory gesture addressing the layoffs without actually taking responsibility in their role in supporting the companies doing it. Immediately followed by a Borderlands presentation. REMINDER THAT THIS HAPPENED THIS YEAR.

Agreed. But best I can manage is my dutch oven over an electric stove.
Call me old-fashioned, but I truly believe soup is meant to be made in a cauldron over an open fire under a full moon with the sound of wolves in the distance.

As a librarian, the constant use of library & archives in horror and fantasy works gives me infinite joy but also makes me a little sad because I’ve never stumbled across a cursed tome or found a criminal confession while digitizing a tape 😔

This is probably gonna be an unpopular take. But holy hell, Arcane s2 was an absolute mess. I had no idea what was going on in 2 of the 3 main plots. Characters introduced and never fleshed out. Mysteries we are never given enough info to care about. Incredibly disappointed.

A reminder that all this “echo chamber” talk is an attempt to continue to normalize hate speech as legitimate political opinion we are simply not open to engaging with, making the failure of the conversation ours rather than, you know, the racist, sexist pieces of shit who are absolutely not normal.
