Set in the 32nd century, the show will follow the first new class of Starfleet Academy cadets in over a century, and will feature an ensemble cast headlined by Holly Hunter, Paul Giamatti, and Robert Picardo returning as The Doctor from “Star Trek: Voyager .” There is also a new Star Trek web series for kids coming to the free streaming platform YouTube for fans to enjoy. The new show “Star Trek: Scouts” follows three 8-year-old friends named JR, Sprocket, and Roo who train to become future Starfleet explorers. Two short-form episodes of the show on the Nickelodeon Blaze and the Monster Machines Channel, and the other 20 episodes from the first season, will be released over the next year. There are lots of other exciting promotions in store for Star Trek fans, including a partnership with Lego that will allow the construction toy company to create sets based on the franchise for the first time. Viewers will also be able to enjoy Star Trek digital comics with Webtoon in 2026, and tune into an all-new scripted podcast called “Star Trek: Khan,” which will explore stories of the villain during his isolation on Ceti Alpha V.
