In my happy place for Lady topper basketball, first game of the season against Kentucky State. Last season was another disappointment, hopefully this season will be better.

WKU lost game one of the doubleheader 8-4, after seeing the team in person, I can see they are young l, have some talent but not as much as previous teams. I am concerned that we won't make the conference tournament that we are hosting, the outfield looks terrible, chunks of grass missing.

In the good old days of Women's basketball ( before ESPN ruined it) Stephen F. Austin was a national powerhouse, one season they had an 8-9 game in Knoxville between a ranked WKU Lady Toppers team and a ranked Stephen F Austin, WKU won the right to play an undefeated Tennessee team in the 2nd round
