A 2 month mid season break feels like a lot… almost like 2 preseasons. I understand the idea of this but I’m curious how players feel about it and how it works around the FIFA calendar etc
BREAKING: MLS owners have voted and passed a schedule change. The league will run from the late summer months through May.

This is due to start in summer of 2027. MLS will take winter break in Jan/Feb

Less venue congestion for NWSL if that happens…
Sources: MLS owners are expected to vote on flipping to fall-spring calendar at Thursday's BOG meeting. Could happen as soon as 2027.

Also: Changes to competition format expected too, including single league table + divisions.

Well with the way this is going I actually think witnessing last year’s embarrassment was better than this year’s embarrassment?
May all the Arsenal fans in Munich today witness something less disastrous than last season and avoid that very long helpless stare with the players post match

NWSL Foundation research funded by said stadium owner…
Jessica Berman, answering @pcattry.bsky.social about Atlanta's stadium having artificial turf (an annoyance for players + teams), says #NWSL doesn't view it as simply grass vs. turf. “Not all playing surfaces are created equal.” The new NWSL Foundation will fund research, she says.

The problem with the northern lights is that they’re always after my bedtime and I’d have to leave the city to avoid the light pollution 😭

I don’t care that much about NWSL end of season award discourse but I do think it’s funny when everyone claims there’s only a singular answer but everyone’s claiming a different singular answer…

Arsenal’s young stars will now be ACL rehabbing together this season instead of continuing their breakout seasons 😭😭 (Katie & Michelle)

That’s like $60M more than Denver paid?!

Ok but everyone also takes really bad penalties against her!
37.5% - In penalty shootouts in all competitions for #NWSL teams, Aubrey Kingsbury has saved 37.5% of the on-target penalties she has faced (9/24). All other goalkeepers have combined to save just 17.2% (20/116). Different.
November 8, 2025 at 8:50 PM
Can players stop making Kingsbury look so good in shootouts, it’s very annoying how bad these shots are
November 8, 2025 at 8:14 PM
Only the second time I’ve ever advocated for VAR in WSL because I genuinely have zero idea how they’ve called that goal off
November 8, 2025 at 1:18 PM
How quickly the squad seems to thin without Leah, Reid and Kim. This midfield just isn’t proving up to it and McCabe just hasn’t quite seemed herself this season

Ok the ref cam is fun when it’s Marta gesturing in the ref’s face, that’s it

Sam Coffey confirms she’s a gooner. Need the Declan Rice linkup at the Emirates in the offseason
"I'm in for the plot." 😂

Is Sam Coffey rooting for the USMNT in next summer's World Cup? Yes... Is she also rooting for Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka? Maybe... 🇺🇸❤️
