The NWSL semifinal picture is set! The Portland Thorns bested the San Diego Wave to close out the quarterfinals at Providence Park. Reilyn Turner scored the game-winner in overtime. Portland will travel to Washington to face the Spirit next.

According to a report by The Athletic, Atlanta will become the NWSL’s next expansion franchise, bringing the league to 17 teams following the additions of Boston and Denver next season.

On Sunday, @gothamfc.bsky.social shocked the top-seeded @kansascitycurrent.bsky.social with a 2-1 extra-time win to reach the NWSL semifinals, putting an end to Kansas City's record-breaking season.

It took 120 minutes and penalty kicks, but an emotional goal from Gift Monday and penalty shootout heroics from Aubrey Kingsbury eventually lifted the Washington Spirit past Racing Louisville for a spot in the #NWSL semifinals!

Tonight, the USWNT takes on the Football Ferns to close out the squads' respective 3-match international windows. New Zealand played Mexico twice, losing both times. The US split its series with Portugal, bouncing back from a shock loss with a 3-1 win on Sunday:

Jason Kreis has been named President of Soccer Operations for Utah Royals FC and Real Salt Lake. Kreis formerly coached Real Salt Lake and led the team to win MLS Cup in 2009.
