Most Australians want a gambling advertising ban, few wanted a social media ban

Local government is creaking under the now effectively annual cost of 'extreme' climate events. Even when those don't happen every single year, the cost does. Tweed Shire Council is just now finishing repairs from February 2022 climate floods.
The insured costs of climate change are now 12 times higher than 20 years ago, while local government revenue is only three times higher, a new report from the Australia Institute shows.

To reinforce Senator Faruqi's point,
it was Coalition Senators who voted overwhelmingly for a 2018 motion "It's OK to be white"; a slogan with well-known white supremacist origins.

That was only a few months after Pauline Hanson's first burqa stunt. #racism #auspol
