If ICE gets even one of these facilities fully up and running, it’ll immediately be the second-largest jail in the country behind only Rikers Island.
The proposed centers are so large that some could house as many as 8,000 detainees at once, according to a DHS spreadsheet of more than 20 potential locations that was verified by NBC News. The largest federal prison in the U.S., for example, has roughly 4,000 inmates.
ICE plans to build mega warehouses for immigration detention spark growing concern
Sources at two government contractors told NBC News they were worried that new warehouses — and the large numbers of immigrants who would be housed in them — would present safety problems.

Is anybody ever gonna take a step back and realize the "Russia Russia Russia" people — derided as lunatic wine moms — were actually underplaying the foreign influence stuff, and the loud people who kept insisting it was all fake are now saying Jeffrey Epstein was kind of a cool guy?

I gotta hand it to Trump. His threats and insanity finally made me get off my butt and sell all my US holdings and double down on Canada, Europe, Japan and emerging markets. Will maybe buy back in after he crashes the economy fully and an adult gets elected to put Humpty Dumpty back together.

America is a forced labor camp. Once you wrap your mind around that a lot of things make more sense.
NEW from CEPR's Peter Hart: On FMLA's 33rd anniversary, gaps are stark: 44% of workers can't access unpaid leave, 73% lack paid leave, and 95% of lowest-wage workers have nothing. The US is one of only 6 countries w/o national paid leave. A national program is long overdue.: https://bit.ly/4kjMIMp
