Saw it in the theater a few months ago when it was briefly rereleased. Probably seen it twenty times and can recite most of the jokes. There was no "oh I forgot that bit" or "never noticed that." Still laughed out loud all the way through. Just a perfect movie.
If you've never seen Spinal Tap you do need to see it. Just be aware you'll be quoting it for days after. Weeks even.

He probably takes that as a complement. "Murderer" is the label he deserves and even that won't make a dent in his self-regard
OMG! I just got off the plane in Asheville and RFK Jr. Was boarding and someone passed by him and said “quack”

With the #Mariners loss realizing that my last really ecstatic sports moment was Carolina beating Duke in the Final Four in 2022 and the way things are looking that's going to be it for a while.

Easy to think of a sound that didn't exist 100 years ago. Jet engine for example. What about 10? Closest I can get is the thwack of pickleball. It existed but it certainly wasn't common. Better ideas?

Correct answer in today's #wordle was the 15th most common 1st guess, highest I've ever seen, but only 88% got it, on the low side. And no I've still never gotten it in one.

So true. The non-right still has dreams that mockery or shame or impartiality or something will prevail. They don't realize it's only about power now and power always favors the right. Until there is true solidarity the right will be in control.

Hell yes. Reagan destroyed the left not only by crushing unions but by planting the seeds for globalization and financialization which allows middle class educated liberals to get rich. There is no left without solidarity and there is no solidarity when greed is seen as a virtue
What I have to say about Jake Tapper, Ezra Klein, Derek Thompson, Jon Stewart, et al is that it is nearly impossible for people whose incomes are on the far right of this graph to provide coherent political commentary or even basic news reporting for the 320+ million on the left half of the graph.

And what's up with the Outlaws? Were they on the verge of a schism or was it more a summer palace/winter palace thing?
I’d like to know the history of the relationship between the Bachelors and the Latin Secret Bachelors.

(Disclosure: I started a gang in elementary school, which consisted entirely of just thinking of a cool, intimidating name for a gang. We were the White Tigers, which isn’t cool or intimidating.)
This is incredible (and was really printed in the NYT in 1974)

So true. We are plagued by the average above average who think they are exceptional and who take the inevitable evidence the contrary as justification for being reactionary jackasses

I root for the underdog: the public school that makes enough from pro football to fund pro basketball that beat the private school that makes enough from rich donors to fund pro basketball, to beat the public school that makes enough from pro football to fund pro basketball and track #FinalFour

I love Trimble and Cadeau but it's getting harder to ignore the fact that having them both in the lineup for significant minutes is a liability.
