One* reason I don't have many friends my own age: having coffee, listening to four old people at the next table whining about how hard it is to be an employer. You have to pay Superannuation, give them holidays as and for sacking them! "You can't just tap them on the shoulder any more".

Curriculum day at school so we had the g'kids. It's a hard life. Reading, knitting, board games and endless eating. No TV, no hassles although former favourite granddaughter said very thoughtfully, "You are a *very* satisfying man to tease."

Parental support is impossible when you need to work two jobs to afford food and pay a mortgage.
