Proximity to pain means a lot. I felt like I was listening to my Chicago friends, but maybe I wasn’t truly *hearing* them. What ICE is doing in Minneapolis is so horrific. I *feel* that now, deeply. I know I’m a different person at the end of this.

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.

2) End qualified immunity
3) Forbid masked agents
4) Compulsory civil penalties for apprehending US citizens.
5) Agents must display easily readable identification with their First, Last, Badge ID (or similar), and state of residence at all times.

If I'm having flashbacks to George Floyd's murder, so is everyone else in town.
If the people responsible for this murder have been sent out of state by their superiors at DHS, then I'd like the superiors charged as accessory after the fact. Not sure how this even happens in America today.
