John Swinney democratically elected First Minister says invite should be scrapped. He wasn't even consulted before Keir Starmer invited him to visit the country that he is elected to lead. Devolution is just window dressing when Labour are not in charge of it.
SNP MP calls for Trump state visit to be scrapped.

Others should support.

Unhinged felon must not be honoured. 34 felony convictions in New York alone. Dodged prison because his billionaire pals helped him win election.

Risk of mass social disorder, if the visit goes ahead.

This was Glasgow in the 70s under labour and we had oil in the North Sea, nothing much changed in the preceding 30 years as all the oil revenues went South to pay for Londons finance district, cross rail, M25 and City Airport, we were left with the ten worst slum areas in the Uk, now we have none.

Too many UK MPs take second jobs, serve corporations, get rich.

Claim it helps to serve people.

Oh ... Hardly any volunteer to work for charities, hospices, food banks, housing associations ... there is no money in it.

Must ban second jobs for MPs.

MP’s second jobs are institutionalised bribery. They should be banned.

Can I ask why anyone in Scotland thought it would be a big laugh to vote in Labour just to spite the SNP???
Anyone who thought that SLAB would be able to stand up to their London master's & demand X Y & Z. They have zero interest in Scotland & would gladly hand all these policies back to London.

Have never felt more justified in calling someone a right-wing charlatan.

Thomas Kerr off to Reform - a so-called “moderate” Tory now in Farage’s band.

Pure self-preservation from someone whose party is on the out in Glasgow.

The next time this right-wing charlatan wants to get elected, remember this and the way he and his party are happy to throw asylum seekers under the bus for their own gain.

Just because you say something isn't right-wing, doesn't make it so. Lowest common denominator politics.

It's very obvious now that the only capital investments Westminster will make in Scotland are those which boost the extraction of Scottish resources. It's almost as though they expect us to become independent & are trying to squeeze as much out of us as they can before we leave.

Scottish government ministers have a wage rise freeze dating back to 2008. A minister should be paid £99,516pa but actually receives £81,449pa
voluntarily paying the difference back into public finances. I wonder why we hear so little about this and whether this would ever happen at Westminster?
