I couldnt agree more @harmitmalik.bsky.social. We should celebrate instead the great scientists that are generous with their time and knowledge, which impacts not only their labs but the careers of so many others. We should also speak up when scientists, no matter how powerful, behave unethically.
When people celebrate the individual genius of folks in science, they should also
mourn the collective loss of genius of folks who were actively discouraged or disadvantaged from a career in science because of the same person(s)
