You just know that “Did Women Ruin the Workplace?” bit would have done NUMBERS in this little clique
Something absolutely perfect about Larry Summers riffing about the scourge of woke cancel culture being unfair to predatory men in a friendly email to his pal JEFFREY EPSTEIN.

This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Tonight's even more proof the mainstream reporters who are still on Twitter are suffering from a brain problem akin Havana Syndrome that is preventing them from accurately doing their jobs. They are being cooked alive by a snuff-focused apartheid algorithm.

Dems are perfectly capable of walking and chewing gum at the same time!
The factional grifters will hate this, but the Mamdani-Spanberger-Sherrill axis actually suggests the outlines of a broad, emerging Dem coalition organized around both anti-Trump *and* affordability politics, not a party bitterly divided against itself.
These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.

CONFIRMED: Georgia Democrats have won their first statewide elections for non-federal offices since *2006.*

The two Dem challengers, Alicia Johnson and Peter Hubbard, have ousted two GOP Republican commissioners on the state's utility commission.

If you are a Democratic senator watching these results and the lesson you take is "I should cave and help Republicans reopen the government for nothing more than a promise written on toilet paper" then you shouldn't be in the Senate anymore

I hope they stay home, but one thing GOPers are better at is, like, voting for someone they don't like because they're better than someone they really don't like.

It's a skill many of you need to learn
oh he goes a step beyond, he calls trump the anti christ, using biblical scripture, this is a sign that trump is unpopular even in the Christian nationalist community

will these people ever vote dem....no i don't think so
will these people just stop voting, leaving the GOP to its fate...Maybe

This is literally everything the Democratic Party has been doing for the last 40 years, what exactly are they asking to change? You practically have to threaten a Dem elected with being drawn and quartered to talk about anything other than health care (in the vaguest terms possible, of course).
i'm fine with a deeper focus on economic issues over social issues but man does plank 2 give the game away

Hey, you know what might have helped solve this issue? Passing a citywide ordinance to speed up construction of 100% affordable projects so private developers could build them without city funding, and NOT promptly walking it back at the first squawk of NIMBY opposition.
