Since the government is about to introduce a social media ban for under-16s based largely on vibes – and Jonathan Haidt's shitty book – in the hopes it boosts its popularity (it won't), I'll re-up this.

On almost everything – fraud, polarisation, radicalisation, misinformation – evidence suggests that over 60s are in much more urgent need of online protection and education than teenagers.
But that issue gets zero political attention, and is a total non-starter. Nothing good will come of it.

What a shit day. Car almost hit me, I swerved, mounted payment and bust one tyre, cracked another and when the recovery lorry finally arrived, 4 hrs later, it couldn’t load as the front suspension was too low. And no the other car didn’t stop.

My son is 4 and a bit years old. We enrolled him in Squirrels (the youngest scouts group) and so far I’ve had to sit with him throughout.
This evening he joined in with the games for the first time, and right now he’s sitting with a group as they make an empire biscuit each.
Proud Dad.

Busy day ahoy! Becca at work early, so I’m on nursery drop off then home for a 9am call.
Becca out at her volunteering from mid-afternoon, so I’m on pick up duties and get Jack about 4, home for early dinner, then back out to Squirrels, then home again before his bedtime at 7:30! Go go go!
