- Summer's well & truly arrived here in Melb / Naarm. Over 39 degr today (or 100 degr Fahrenheit). This pic's from one of our northern beaches - a good depiction of how things felt

- Very little balanced reporting so far ... It's been very draining. No wonder people just tune out ...
I've never been more convinced Australia has the worst mainstream journalists in the world. Simple, thick, racist, ahistorical, bootlicking dipshits that lie and screech more than they think and feel. This weaponisation of a tragedy against anti-genocide voices is grotesque.

- Way too much is being heard from questionable (so called) consultants & lobbyists since this attack. It's as nauseating as the incident itself
Disgraceful of Jillian Segal to use the Bondi attack to demand “acceleration” of her abhorrent recommendations & already point fingers w/out even waiting for police to uncover any details, esp when she failed to ever stand up against the worst antisemites around, the Neo Nazis.

- This is our elected Fed Govt ... Non transparency is apparently their thing. Given how Mining / Fossil fuel industry interests override those of actual voters, everyone should be concerned

- Samantha Ratnam is a local Greens member in the part of Melb / Naarm I live in, and although no longer Party leader for Vic, still enthusiastically attends rallies. This made me chuckle :
Pauline Hanson spoke at an anti-immigration rally in Melbourne today.

At which she said, “I don’t want to move to Victoria”.

Well Pauline, we don’t want you to move here either.

Please leave our beautiful & proudly diverse state alone. Goodbye 👋🏽

- Decision making pollies, owning multiple properties are part of the problem too. They just don't care enough to show true leadership. Direct harm's now bordering on abuse
When it comes to the housing crisis, supply is only part of the picture. The system is currently so rigged for wealthy investors and developers that it's often profitable for them to keep properties empty, rather than sell them or rent them out. This urgently needs to change!

"That’s the kind of calculation a bureaucrat would literally have to make under Environment Minister Murray Watt’s new ‘environmental laws’".
