Much of the cardboard and paper goods strewn about our homes are sold by a single private company, with its name, Uline, stamped on the bottom.

Many may not know that a multibillion-dollar fortune made on those ubiquitous products fuels far-right candidates across the country.

That Cardboard Box in Your Home Is Fueling Election Denial
A previously unreported boom in profits for the shipping supply giant Uline has provided the funds for a deeply conservative Midwestern family to bankroll anti-democracy causes around the country.

Today, a 29-day-old baby died at Nasser hospital, southern #Gaza, #Palestine, just two hours after arriving at the MSF- supported paediatric ward in the early hours of the morning. Despite treatment efforts, he could not be saved. According to the MoH, he died from hypothermia.

Academic freedom does not exist at my grad alma mater York University thanks to the Palestine Exception.

Should be an enormous scandal but of course it won’t be.

Obviously this is tacky, but the bigger issue is it‘s clear that Trump doesn’t have one person that says no to him about anything. That’s really bad for democracy, national security, and for any hope of economy bouncing back.
WH added text to the pictures hanging on the wall… to sum it up: it is deranged.

The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

The planned hepatitis B birth-dose trial in Guinea-Bissau raises serious ethical concerns. Withholding a proven, life-saving vaccine from newborns to answer speculative questions is an absence of equipoise with real downstream harms for trust in vaccines.

All mass shooters since and including Columbine have been captured by video surveillance. Not a single time did one of those cameras jump off the wall to stop the shooter. And they never will. Cameras do not stop violence.
Surveillance boosters and people who sell cameras are shameless in that any tragedy is an argument for more cameras. The actual number is irrelevant, rather it’s seen by them as an opportunity to increase the existing number until every square inch of the earth is blanketed.
Brown University has over 1,200 surveillance cameras. Why that wasn’t enough to capture video of the shooting suspect | CNN
CNN spoke to several security experts to better understand the growth of Brown’s surveillance system, why its cameras failed to capture the attack or suspect, and the concerns about privacy and academ...

When I was a medical student 45 years ago, I clerked in a 13 year old girl with deep jaundice and an abdominal mass. She was Hepatitis B positive. That had led to a primary liver tumour. In a 13-year-old. She was dead within the month. Avoidable with vaccination.
The CDC has endorsed ACIP’s decision of revoking universal access in USA to hepatitis B vaccines at birth. The policy had been in place for 34y and was changed despite no new evidence emerging of any risk of vaccination. #HealthPolicy 🧵
CDC accepts ACIP’s hepatitis B vaccine recommendations for babies
The CDC also said if a baby is not receiving a birth dose of vaccine, the initial dose should be administered no earlier than 2 months of age.

A story I found about Haiti:

In 1999, a group of Haitians were tired of political disorder and dreamed of a better life in the United States. So they built a small, 23-foot boat by hand using pine trees, scrap wood, and used nails. They called the boat "Believe in God."
