Anyone else thinking about the 1970 Kent State shootings when Ohio National Guard murdered and injured student protestors? And 8 shooters were acquitted?

Fascinating to see the timing of all this. Their reputations were in tatters in Denmark bc their poor research practices had been exposed, so they turned to the guy they knew would be sympathetic, whose sole goal is undermining vaccines. And voila, they got $1.6M to conduct a wildly unethical study.
Truly damning investigative reporting in @rollingstone.com on how Danish researchers long favored by RFK.Jr for their studies which cast doubt on vaccines, secured a no bid grant to fund the unethical trial in Guinea Bissau. This read is worth your time.

HHS Gave a $1.6 Million Grant to a Controversial Vaccine Study. These Emails Show How That Happened
Two Danish researchers faced accusations of “questionable research practices” as RFK Jr.’s top appointees made their study a “funding priority.”

We can come up with:
$2MIL to turn the Rose Garden into a Fuddruckers.
$200MIL for a ballroom.
$1BIL to upgrade an airplane Quatar couldn’t sell.
$450MIL (so far) for golf trips.
$2BIL to paint a few 100 miles of border wall.

Yet kids with cancer must stop being so needy.

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously.

Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

He was not dead.
I found a ‘dead’ person collecting Social Security in Seattle
“Dead” Ned Johnson turns out to be very much alive. It took him weeks to convince the system he was breathing and to start clawing his benefits back.
