What a farce . Seeing US president being Putin’s messenger is rich

Q: Can you offer us any examples of voter fraud in Arizona?

KRISTI NOEM: Oh, I'm sure there's many of them

Not only did Trump lose the 2016 popular vote by nearly 3 million votes, once he was in office he launched a massive "voter fraud" investigation to prove that he'd *actually* won the popular vote by several million and then they didn't find a thing and quietly disbanded it.
Trump speaking at Fort Bragg: "The first time, I won but they say I didn't win the popular vote. You know I did. I won it by a lot."

Regulations are what keeps ordinary Americans healthy and, often, alive.

It took spoiled meat and rodent droppings out of our food. It took harmful lead out of our gasoline and paint. It took poison out of our water.

Deregulation only achieves one goal: making rich corporations richer.

Except he is doing all those things. The framers assumed if he ignored a court order or usurped the authority of Congress, he would be impeached and removed. They could not have imagined a Congress and Supreme Court that would not just NOT stop him, but aid and abet him.
The president cannot:
• Make laws
• Declare war
• Control elections
• Run the civil service like a CEO
• Ignore court orders
• Stay in office without elections
• Decide which laws apply to them
• Use the military for domestic political control

Those were king powers, and the framers rejected them.

I'm old enough to remember Republican outrage at Michelle Obama planting a garden at the White House to promote healthy diets.

They said it sullied the White House and would lead to the government telling us what to eat. Republicans said that was fascist.

Sheesh.

I mean, it is good public health policy to encourage people to eat more whole foods... It would just help if the next sentence wasn't "don't get vaccinated, drink bleach, and eat beef tallow instead."

The New York Times just launched a new "newsletter about the law and the courts." They are calling it "The Docket."

The Times may not care that Democracy Docket has been publishing "On the Docket" and "Daily Docket" for years, but I believe our 400,000 subscribers might.

More on this tomorrow.

Trump posted a video depicting the first Black president and his wife as apes and his excuse for this is that it's a riff on The Lion King, a movie that does not feature any apes. Somehow this was a one-day story and we've already moved on.
