Here's my review of Castration Movie Pt. 2, and also the first thing I've posted to Substack since May. It's a long one, and I considered breaking it into two posts, but that would sort of be against the spirit of this thing, wouldn't it? 😇
A Bushwick Version of The Divine Comedy
For the third chapter of Castration Movie, Louise Weard relocates to New York and doubles down on her painfully necessary satire of 21st century transfeminine life.

i feel like such an innocent on here seeing kids subtweeting each other like "i swear to god the snorfing community is becoming so toxic" or "sorry, i don't think it's controversial to think flurp is weird"

call me old fashioned but i think you gotta believe it's either okay to kill protesters or it's not. and i would say you should choose "not"

it is perhaps in many cases a distinction without a difference, but i don't think liberals lack a "material analysis" (whatever people mean by that) so much as they just have a bad one. and frankly, so do a lot of marxists

i've felt this way for a really long time. often these slogans are meant to imply specific policy proposals, but they tend to float away from those ideas into the cultural aether, where they can simultaneously end up sounding both like vague platitudes and far more radical than originally intended
My thoughts on below: I’m a huge fan of saying things about how you hate something that don’t use the words of other people.

I’m just kind of anti sloganeering as a concept, that’s just my personal taste.

See: “keep it in the ground” “green new deal” “clean energy”
Continue to think that saying “abolish ICE” without explaining how you’ll enforce the law is a trap, but boosting this

Really, ChatGPT is just giving you a luxury experience that is normally only accessible to the rich and powerful -- the experience of filling your life with butt-kissing and sycophancy until you completely lose touch with reality.
