A quick hello to old friends & new: I’m an actor and devising artist (strengths: performing, writing, assistant directing). Queer. I offer consulting/support worker services in mental health, disability access, and LTGBQIA+ intersectional diversity for theatre projects and venues.
Hi folks! Do I have any friends around London who don’t have big xmas day plans & might want to hang?

I’m planning on xmas dinner at my local - you’d be welcome to come along, or just go for a little walk. Can bring crackers & wear a silly jumper if desired X

I’ve been planning to go to pride for a few months. But a lot has happened this week, publicly, legally, emotionally. My body has worked a lot more than expected. My pride today is a quiet pride. A restful pride. A celebration of my body, my privacy, my safety, my joys.

On the whole, immigrants are the most community-oriented, caring, empathetic group of people I’ve met wherever I’ve lived. Lots of ways to attack us/them, but “strangers” is one of the more bogus ones.

A cool thing theatres could do is make it clear that trans people are welcome to come in and use their toilets even if they’re not there for a show/to buy something at the bar.

Guards gendering people before entry at Victoria station today. Just across the road (near Hamilton), Market Halls has accessible toilets you can use without purchasing anything.

92 years ago today the world’s only research institute about trans people was destroyed by the Nazis.

All transphobia is inherently fascist.
May 6, 1933. Berlin. The 1st LGBTQIA+ center was destroyed by Nazis.

The Institute for Sexology was a pioneer place for trans studies. There was the 1st trans organization.

A forgotten history to remember in this dark times for trans people

In the midst of all of this bs, I think the second series of The Change has been massively under-covered. The answer to how do you handle all the feminisims, masculinity struggles, real violence, fake nonsense, and do it all with trans ppl and a laugh to boot.

The ruling is horrendous and we will fight and one day it will be history. And all the days until that day are some injustice that I hope as many of us as possible live through with moments of joy.

Anyone else hitting up the yard final night thing? Want a buddy if so? Gonna grab some tickets tonight, so lmk if you want in/just want to wave on the night.

Hey, fellow disabled folk! I work at an escape room. In the last year, I’ve learned how fucking inaccessible most of them are. Ours are actually pretty accessible, and I’m pushing to keep improving

Are you/do you know anyone who might be interested in giving feedback or spreading the word?

Hey folks! I have a spare ticket going to Melanie Wilson’s “Oracle Song” at the Barbican tonight, 7:45! Message or reply if you want to snap it up.

(We can hang a bit, or be strangers if you’re not feeling social - up to you!)

Not that we in the library wish to encourage profanity, but if you want to get rid of these AI-search summaries (which are often absolute nonsense), just swear in your search terms.

It really works.

1. Major news in transgender care.

Germany, Switzerland, and Austria have just released their trans youth care guidelines.

They strongly recommend trans youth care and slam the
Cass Review in England.

Europe is not "pulling back" on trans care.

New German, Swiss, And Austrian Guidelines Recommend Trans Youth Care, Slam Cass Review
The recommendations, released by the Association of the Scientific Medical Societies in Germany, come at a time when US politicians erroneously claim that Europe is "pulling back" on transgender care.

Stop advocating for trans people by referring to us as canaries in the coal mine.

The whole point of the canary is that it's an acceptable sacrifice to protect the people who actually matter.

We are not a *warning sign*. We are real people. Our lives and rights matter in and of themselves.

Reach out to a trans child today. If you don’t know one, check out Gendered Intelligence and/or Mermaids to learn how to help. Trans kids will die of this, but we can reduce that by looking out for them. All we have is each other, and that’s still a powerful thing.

Zoo Co is taking part in The Big Give this week. It's been a decade since we ran one of these. We are on Day 2 of our 7 Day campaign and INCREDIBLY we have reached 43% of our goal already 👀

This funding is to help us make the next show after Perfect Show For Rachel...

i'm thinking in particular of how queer folk have created queer spaces, spaces of safety and possibility in the face of an often hostile and inhospitable world, and wondering if/when/where/how neurodivergent folk may have done something similar?
hello world.

Is anyone aware of anything that could be described as a neurodivergent space? As in, places that are specifically for neurodivergent people, whether they be official/institutional, grassroots or ad-hoc? Spaces which go beyond accommodations to be neurodivergent at their core?
