A rare interview with the creators of the always-funny, always-brilliant, and *usually*-sexy—or occasionally anti-sexy—OGLAF!

Cooper has kept a low profile over the years, but is legitimately one of the very best artists in comics today. Read OGLAF if you're old enough to drive!
Talking Oglaf with Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne: 'We'd stay up all night drawing stuff to make each other laugh' - The Comics Journal
Other than some time off every year for Christmas, Trudy Cooper and Doug Bayne have delivered a new Oglaf comic, skewering fantasy tropes with absolutely not safe for work humor, every week since 2008...

Tonight I tried to share about how rewatching The Last Unicorn wrecked me as much as ever, and how somehow I periodically need that cycle of emotional devastation, but only one of the three people in the conversation knew the movie at all

“How dare you come to me now, when I am this” meant nothing

Reading this interview/art review of DY Begay was a bright spot in my day today

I am especially grateful to the artist and writers for including some of her preparatory sketches and the weaving that resulted from them

Time to reinvent grammy’s chocolate bundt cake. I wonder if I can get any of the other cousins in on this because the sheer number of experiments is going to be a bit overwhelming. Maybe we can even shoot for the moon and do it gluten-free

Also, from the depths of my soul:

nooooooooooooo
Shrinkflation strikes AGAIN: boxes of Betty Crocker cake mix are two ounces smaller (from 15.25 ounces to 13.25 ounces).

That cookie or cake recipe you inherited from Grandma probably called for a 18.25 ounce box of cake mix.

The last time I went to see a Chikoko show it was a good time and left me extremely energized to do fiber art

After several eternities, my loom is reassembled, warped, and cooperating as I get used to…um…a two-faced honeycomb weave whose draft I found in Strickland’s 8-shaft patterns book. I needed to see how this pattern could give undulating lines in weaving

Failed to convince the pharmacist to give me covid shot, so I guess it is time to channel that frustration into being better about masking going forward

Better luck to y’all

I try not to be weird about parasocial relationships, but I am having some surprisingly big feelings tonight about hearing that a person whose fics I started reading over twenty years ago went quiet the permanent way this year

We have all heard “don’t grocery shop while hungry”, but I might need a personal rule “don’t plan an early morning walk after dark”

It is remarkable how much more resistant I am to commit to new routes or unfamiliar destinations if I am in evening cozy mode. Curiosity and walking seem fake

A lesson I never seem to learn:

folks doing customer service are not actually going to scold me for politely asking them for help.

I made a dreaded phone call today and had a lovely chat that solved multiple problems

Will I be any less nervous next time? Lol
