After several eternities, my loom is reassembled, warped, and cooperating as I get used to…um…a two-faced honeycomb weave whose draft I found in Strickland’s 8-shaft patterns book. I needed to see how this pattern could give undulating lines in weaving

Trimmed some salvia, tried to draw it, and now I am hoping this improvised wreath dries into something that keeps smelling good for a while

We didn’t prune the salvia enough this year, but the pollinators don’t seem to mind

These blues and purples are striking enough that for the first time ever I see why people might pick a color theme for their gardens

One of my quilt co-conspirators did not want to exchange enough hexagon blocks for a quilt of her own.

The unevenness bugged me, so I made her a pair of coasters as souvenirs.

The backs are just black and white because she does not always love exuberant color.

Tried to make a gif of the patchwork process I am doing recently

Finally, I figured out the number of ends per inch to get the weaving effect I want in a rag rug! I started to cut up a mountain of t-shirts for rug-making over five(5!!!!) years ago.

These rugs are so squishy underfoot

I am collaborating with some of the quilters in my family to make a smallish throw quilt

So far my favorite block is the green one with the single bee section

I hope to further push the ways color choices alter the hexagon log cabin pattern’s balance

Can you hear me cackling? I have fixed the mitten! I even spun the yarn with which I re-knitted that thumb. (Somehow that seemed more reasonable than going out and buying an entire skein for this little repair). My thumb is the one on the right with smaller stitches

This is certainly a chewed-up mitten.

For now I am just doodling from photos of last year's blooming season. I would need color to properly hype a firecracker penstemon, but this has already been useful as a sketchbook bookplate

Is anybody already doing travel guide sorta booklets/zines about plants native to particular areas? Like, "So you want to ditch the lawn but need help visualizing alternatives for your specific zip code"

or is this another project to add to the pile?

I know about calscape.org but want even more

Whoever packed the order I just got from @fridaytea.com did a standout job intuiting samplers of teas I almost bought (and a couple I would have longed for had I noticed them). Thanks!

The text underneath the tea is a book I made this month to help me recall & sort impressions during tea-drinking

I mixed solid-dyed roving and spun it into the loop in the photo and that’s got me excited because I was trying to harmonize with the indie-dyed roving that I spun for the ball in the middle. I may have enough for my project after all!

The yarn I just finished spinning turned out as desired, but complaints in one arm suggest I have room for improvement in remembering to take enough breaks

I am struggling to finish hand-quilting the ivy leaf thing on the left. I want to spin more floof into yarn!

I made a cat tree for this fancy lad several years ago. He only deigns to use it during the cool half of the year
