You can hardly blame them. Starmer's government has leaned into the 'hostile environment' for immigrants, established by the Tories and weaponised by Reform.
Britons are migrating to Poland for a better life, while foreign medics are shunning the NHS because they see Britain as xenophobic and racist.

It's absolutely correct & legit to note that those who led the campaign to paint Labour under Corbyn as thoroughly antisemitic to its core are not leading & will not lead a similar campaign here. It's also important that we are and remain vigilant against antisemitism on the left, which is real.
The Daily Mail has published a disgusting "caricature" of Zack Polanski, which people have identified as appallingly antisemitic. I RTd a post containing the image, but decided to undo that, as it's not for me to shove racism into people's timelines. But fucking hell.

A constant through line of Farage party policy is being against collectivism in solutions, be it anti EU, ani climate action or as reported today anti vaxx. Scientistic collaboration at speed was vital to the development of covid jabs but Reform’s first instinct scepticism, to sow doubt and divide.

I now have no doubt that Nigel said and did those things. But this article didn't convince me, it merely solidified things.
Nigel Farage is who convinced me. Even in the 80s you didn't make jokes about gas chambers. Those comments were always meant to hurt.

Doesn't Farage have dual German citizenship? Did I make that up?

If he does, should he be deported and stripped of his Britishness for past comments like "Hitler was right" and "gas em all"?

I don't think so. Abhorrent racist views are sadly perfectly British.

I'm hoping we don't remember 2025 as the year it just became completely normalised for mainstream politicians to be openly racist and instead it's a blip. I'm not hugely optimistic.

The Tories when in office sought release by Egypt of an Egyptian-Brit man locked up, whom the Tories had granted citizenship to.

Now that he has been released they think he should be deported back to Egypt - because of ancient abusive tweets. Yet they claim to be a ‘free speech’ party.
The Conservative Party is simultaneously arguing people shouldn’t be jailed for social media posts directly calling for violence, but also that people’s citizenship should be revoked over social media posts they don’t like.

Make it make sense.

Very concerning about the newly released British citizen jailed in Egypt. He has rights. These must be respected. It is fine for Farage to be Islamophobic or for Patel or Rees-Mogg to make anti Irish statements but as soon as you criticize Israel there are calls for citizenship to be removed.

The billionaire media barons have been controlling our politics for decades - they only backed Labour because they knew Keir Starmer could be controlled.

This thread lays it out… 👇🏻
As I said then: this will be awkward to explain because Johnson was very obviously removed from power by the same media outlets who put him in Number Ten in the first place, because he was embarrassing them and refusing to stop. Using a scandal chosen because it was laser-targeted at him personally.

All year (at least), we've had right wing voices telling us (wrongly) how illiberal the UK has become for jailing people because of supposedly inaucuous posts on social media. Today Reform and the Tories suddenly want someone's citizenship to be removed for social media posts. Double standards?

I wonder when Wes Streeting or Keir Starmer spent a day in A & E in NHS England?

Or Anas Sarwar, or Jackie Baillie?

Does Farage even know what A & E stands for? #VoteSNP
Last Saturday I spent time in A&E listening to staff and watching them deliver excellent care under pressure.

There are real challenges in our NHS, but also real progress - long waits coming down, more operations and more GPs.

I’m determined to build on this in 2026.

There’s more to the Epstein Bannon Farage connection than this.

Epstein was actively guiding Bannon how to secretly finance ‘The Movement’ — a right wing pan Europe organisation in concert with Farage — set up by his partner Laure Ferrari
