My 1st introduction to racism was at the old Rich's Dept. Store in Downtown Atlanta 67 yrs. ago. I ran to the "wrong" fountain. A man stared down my mom w/ such hate it scared her & she stopped me. Once she explained why he did that, I thought the concept too stupid for words. Never looked back.
