I do enjoy less rules and more about ruling the story! Give them something to guide their experience not complicate it with tons of rules.
For me #shadowdark has been transformational in the way I game. It fully enables the OSR concept of "Rulings not Rules" by being so minimalist and well conceived.

This definitely a #ttrpg on my list to play!
Great goal to have!
Next summer will be my 40th anniversary playing rpgs. So I've made a list of all the #ttrpg I've played at least once. This includes my homebrewed systems and those developed by friends. With the Eldritch Hack yesterday, the grand total is 98! I want to have played at least 100 by 2026.

I totally understand that feeling. Life is sucking but at least we still can escape into the #ttrpg we enjoy! I followed on #twitch because I need more friends on there!

Tonight at 21:00 BST over on the Infinite Monkey Tales #twitch stream I'll be running my #TTRPG 'Those Dark Places'. It'll be a test run of the first encounter of a new event I have in mind for the game, a large metaplot that'll affect the TDP setting as a whole.

"The roleplaying is the stuff the game DOESN'T need rules for, idiot" is such a ridiculously illiterate stance (in multiple senses) to hold in 2025, an era in which we have a veritable cornucopia of designer TRPGs to showcase that elfgames can be more than a combat engine draped in vibes
