When it’s good, it’s great. Some shots will be emulated by others someday. Shadows and subterfuge, all executed perfectly.
But… the film also goes to extremes, lingers a second or two too long here and there. B+ but less > more could’ve been an A+.

Yes, the statement "Natasha Lyonne can do no wrong" stands stronger and truer than ever.
I'd love to see a Byrdie the Duck What If... episode, the character was the best thing to come out of Season 3 so far, and I can NOT get enough Natasha Lyonne in the MCU.

It shouldn’t even be up for debate, and yet here we are. As evidence, I suggest watching old school Doctor Who (Doctors #1 to #4, pick one), followed by The Great British Bake-off (Show). Look at the teeth. Same island, 50 years, one element (literally) changed, it’s Fluoride.

I had polio when i was 9. I was taken from my parents & placed in a Hospital for contageous diseases- the polio ward. I would see them once a week - thru the glass window at the end of my ward. I could not walk. It was terrifying. Kids died. Iron lungs were awful. Dont let RFK Jr ban the vaccine

People get so distracted by what they perceive as “surreal wackiness” that David Lynch is actually underrated as a director of the performances of his actors. There’s probably 50+ known actors who gave their best with Lynch.
REMINDER: Matthew Lillard in Twin Peaks: The Return is just amazing.

One of the most interesting aspects of this show is this implied idea that we will someday see some of these characters in live-action with the same actors - if David Harbour is done as Hellboy… at least someday we might see him as DC’s Frankenstein (‘s Monster), which is sort of close ?

Wrath of Khan was… “okay.” Not as Trekky goodness as the first, but a lot of sequels aren’t.

My small town video store kept this one behind the counter as an “adults only” horror rental (along with Demons and Fulci’s Zombi). I didn’t actually try watching it until this Halloween season - I didn’t finish.
