Only reason I could think of if the Dems caved without anything in return is forcing the Turd Reich to not hide behind the shutdown. That people and SNAP aren't being paid because they've looted the Treasury for private jets and Argentinian bailouts.

I wake up and the results of last night seemingly standing unchallenged. This is fantastic but unexpected. I am now contending with the possibility my own assumptions about the Turd Reich and it's reach are in error, and perhaps I am unduly fatalist.
