Right now would be the best time for Democrats to unveil a universal healthcare plan. $2,000/month premiums, plus deductibles, co-insurance, denials and financial stress. Or 5% of income w/single payer. No insurance companies.

I guess it's good that we've all gotten past "surely *this* will be too much for Republicans" that many of us believed in ~2016–2018. Trump can literally bulldoze the White House and Republicans are cool with it. He can hand himself a quarter billion from the Treasury and that's OK. Anything goes.
