I was trying to build my following on Threads because it’s so much like the old Twitter, but Threads is really toxic for Texas Democrats I think.

I still don’t feel like I have a social media “home base.”

“There are no codes of ethics that you as a member of the press and free media abide by,” he said. “These folks are not beholden to these things, so they can get out and use whatever four letter words they can get out and say.”
Online influencers are shaping Texas Democratic Senate race
The near-constant stream of takes from content creators has come to frame the primary between Jasmine Crockett and James Talarico as a referendum on identity politics in the Democratic Party.

Speaking of Texas, I don't know if you've seen this, but @charlesgaba.com has put together an Unlikely Heroes page for Texas. SD09 happens to be part of that page, and I really do think we need to give the Dems in red districts (especially progressive Dems) some love here. bsky.app/profile/char...
📣 #TEXAS Democrats need your help!

🚨 This is an #UnlikelyHeroes page *deliberately* featuring Dems running in RED districts to boost statewide turnout & force Republicans to defend their turf.

Henry Cuellar needs to go! TX28 Democrats need to vote in the March 3 Primary for Andrew Valentine or Ricardo Villarreal to make that happen.

Yes please. Vote him OUT, Dem voters of TX28.

Henry Cuellar voted "with Republicans to fund ICE, after ICE murdered American citizens."

"Henry Cuellar stays in power because primaries are low-turnout elections. The machine depends on people assuming 'my one vote won’t matter.'

Prove them wrong."

#Texas, you want to read this deep analysis.

If you notedJudge Biery, special election winner Rehmet or Menefee, you do too.

"Now we get to decide which version of Texas shows up in March and in November. The path is there. The voters are there. The energy is there. All that’s left is to show up."

Still so disappointed by
@colinallredtx.bsky.social’s stunt yesterday. His House race must also be going poorly. A leader would contact James first to clarify/discuss, not immediately launch an attack. We need the seat so will support the primary winner; but TX deserves better than Johnson & Allred

Love this recap of what’s happening in TX, “when Dems stop treating red districts as lost causes, voters respond. These wins force Republicans to spend money they didn’t plan to spend, they expand the map and prove that TX is winnable —with lots of hard work”

There is far too little discussion on here of the fact that DEMOCRATS FLIPPED a Texas Senate district that’s been red since 1991.

It's a great day to be a Texan... building large volunteers, block walking, phone banking, and holding events on a constant basis are how you win election races like these.

I want to see every state and local Democratic party do this, as well as the candidates that are recruited from top to bottom.
