1. Stop using pesticides and herbicides (unless you're trying to manage aggressive invasive species). Everything else I list will be designed to attract life to your yard and that's pretty pointless if you kill them after they arrive.

Transgenic means that genes from 1 organism have been put into another. We make transgenic mice to understand how genes influence biological processes. We make transgenic plants to make them more nutrient rich. We make transgenic bacteria so they make medicine for us. It's wide-ranging & v. useful.

Lesser celandine will be showing itself soon in my area. This is one of the top worst invasive plants we have. I don't know if those bluebells exist anymore, this was taken a few years ago in a nearby park. Bluebells normally grow in massive patches.

This is why invasive species are devastating.
