Reintroduction time? Former grad student, gamer, composer, geek. I generally post about about Linux and video games. I desperately need to finish some music. (I used to use csound and LISP, but am teaching myself supercollider.) I think 12-tone equal temperament is boring.

That awkward moment when you realize a part of your upbringing wasn't normal. (I had a checkbook and bank account from 2nd grade on--ostensibly to manage SSI benefits from when my dad was on disability.) But then you were responsible for paying for everything except rent.

This is patently obvious if you're a woman. Like how your opinion will be ignored until a man says it. How (mostly men) talk over you. Or spend about 5 minutes on tiktok with gender reveals, engagements, or weddings.

Cripes. Why is Mawdrey, a thing introduced in Living World 2, 11 years ago, time-gated? (The plant foods involved can only be crafted 1 a day, and you need 3 weeks' worth of them.) I love GW2, but come on.

Just heard the professor who was completely anti-tech up until he got a modern computer (and then was all in on the Apple ecosystem and would bring us cookies to set up his newest gadget) just passed. He was a really sweet guy.
