In keeping with @trans.bsky.social‘s tradition, here are my 2026 predictions: (ok, more like wishlist)

1. Johnson out as Speaker in a hilarious fashion
2. Dodgers lose NLDS
3. Democrats take a Senate seat in TX
4. I get promoted again
5. Elon suffers some kind of very public psychotic break

I think if you do not proactively reject statements like the one the MAGA faction president made below, then you have voluntarily removed yourself from a significant portion of the dating pool. Those are just the consequences of your actions.

Every year around this time I do the same thread and it has been a lot of fun.

Tell me something you did in 2025 that you're proud of that you want everyone to know about. Did you write a book? Did you get a promotion? Did you survive the year?

I want to spend the end of the year celebrating you.

Was 5 hours round trip to the airport. If you get the chance to drive to JFK Airport on Christmas Eve, I highly recommend that you don’t.

It’s great to have them at our house for the holidays though.
Just spent 3 hours wrapping presents for my wife, girls, in-laws and my Mom. My wife still has to wrap presents for the same group, except my mom, while I go to the airport to pick up her parents.

For those who don’t know, merry Christmas means having alcoholic drinks while happy Christmas is a sober Christmas. So for all of those of you who drink, I hope you have a merry Christmas.

And for those of you who are sober, I hope you have a happy Christmas.
