Reminder - when turkey frying, things can go from "wholesome family cooking memory" to "traumatic family cooking memory" very quickly.

A few precious decisions separate, "That's the year we fried the turkey!" and "That's the year we burned down the deck."

Make good choices. Children are watching.

It’s not what you might expect for a book that changes someone, but before this book I was someone who didn’t enjoy reading. After this book I was someone who stayed up late reading books and enjoying reading.

Just a fundamentally decent, normal person, and I miss that so much right now

The Trump White House is full of cretins and ghouls who are constitutionally incapable of sincerity or humility

They don’t stink now, this is the second time we have had to wash the dog(s) after being sprayed by a skunk. Dish soap, baking soda, and hydrogen peroxide mixed together and sprinkled over the affected areas. Let it sit then rinse it off. Wash again with dog shampoo.

Nothing like getting woken up early to the dogs going crazy to go outside, only for them to find a skunk in the henhouse and get sprayed.

Bullies gain power when their misconduct succeeds in causing righteous people to yield in the face of wrongdoing. That’s why voting for Trump's continuing resolution - without any protection against his health care cuts or his growing illegality - is a mistake.

I voted NO.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

So here's where we are, Sunday morning:

Trump is trying to starve hungry kids in order to bully Democrats into abandoning our fight against health care premium increases.

So Trump is starving kids in order to deny families health care.

Observations: Vanderbilt 45, Auburn 38 (OT)

- turns out getting the ball to your best players is… good?
- Vanderbilt adjusted and hit Auburn’s defense where it hurts
- the penalties were back to being real killers
- no moral victories, but there are legit chances for real ones

After firing Hugh Freeze, Auburn had its best offensive game against an SEC foe in six years — and its worst defensive game in two years.

It seems like Derek Nix and Durkin ended up coming up with a significantly better plan for the offense than Hugh Freeze ever did
Is this a pre adjustment fluke from Auburn’s offense, or was Hugh calling the plays the whole problem?

It would have been nice to win, but hopefully this ends any argument for Durkin as the coach.

If the offense look like this all season and we had the same record, Hugh freeze would probably still be our coach. I’m glad he’s not our coach anymore.
