All this business I am reading about social security is nonsense. My mom died on 2/18. My dad got a letter yesterday informing him her benefits were ending and he had to repay the February payment because they don’t give a payment in the month someone dies. They know where every dollar is.

I worry that the focus on NOAA's weather predicting value is ignoring the millions of other ways NOAA researchers enrich communities and local economies.
There are no oysters without NOAA. There are no blue crabs without NOAA. NOAA trains teachers. NOAA is the lifeblood of coastal communities.

There are 600,000 very trained Postal Workers. The logistics alone of getting mail through a regional sorting center and to your local post office are extremely complicated. No one else can walk in and do those jobs. They have his ass at No. Scabs can't fix it even if they cross the line. Strike

The Postal Workers should strike like 1970. If Trump does away with the Collective Bargining Agreement agreed to under the Postal Reform Act of 1970, the workers are no longer subject to the non strike clause of that Reform. Trump is stealing the Postal Pension Fund. Defend yourselves.

So apparently that exchange between Hegseth and a reporter overseas was fake, which I would have recognized had I not been using my 3am brain…. And now I’m too tried to figure out how to delete it. There’s a lesson here. Pick up a book, not my phone during the peri-3am scaries.

I’m gonna get real irritated for a moment because no. The US and much of its population jumped into fascism with both feet, and you would have know that if you had listened to disabled ppl and immunocompromised ppl at all during this pandemic.

I have so many things to say coming from a military and commercial aviation family, just jumping from one field of dread to another.
Dems should call for immediate hearings on what caused tonight’s plane crash, including the impact of the removal of FAA safety protocols and personnel.
