It goes beyond, I think, the reductive idea that fiction should teach its audience the correct moral lessons. That’s the wrong reference frame entirely. At its best, fiction asks a question to which the author doesn’t know the answer.

Sakara was lucky to have bonded so quickly with the other Lentavohi kids, as adoptees don't always find their place in such a tightly-woven community. Those years between his parents' death and the famine, are years he will always remember fondly.

This. It's not a question of wealth, but of priorities- there's so many furries I know that use a fairly modest income to patronize artists and creators, just because that's where the joy comes from.
This fandom has a reputation for being "suspiciously wealthy" but the truth is most furries just love and value art and people so much that they want to use their money for art and supporting artists so they can make a living doing what they love. It's a cycle of genuine passion I think.

The 2025 Frankenstein actually is fantastic, by the way. Exquisite cinematography, fabulous effects and costuming, sublime writing delivered by actors at the top of their game. A genuinely new, compelling take on a complex and terrible tragedy; del Toro at his best.
