I recently learned about the app 5 Calls. By putting in your address and select an issue you care about, it provides you the number of your representatives and a script on an issue.

Calling is one of the best way to make our voices heard. It took me two mins to call both my senators.

The government is saying that violence rules. That snatching foreign leaders and territories, and shooting US citizens in their cars at point blank range, is justified. That resistance is not only futile, it is dangerous. They can say these things. But they cannot force us to believe them.

New in PN: Renee Good's killer can and must be prosecuted

"There’s no path to justice that runs through this administration or the federal courts. Hell, Trump will probably give the shooter a medal, and would certainly give him a pardon. But there is a path to justice that runs through Minnesota."

New paper in Dev Psych with @emily-willroth.bsky.social & Tammy English!

Momentary sense of purpose is higher & stabler in older adults than young adults--regardless of cognitive status. Though these fluctuations differ, what predicts them is fairly consistent.

1. This weekend, far-right group Lets Go Washington announced that it had collected enough signatures to get a trans sports ban on the ballot in the state.

The bill includes genital inspection provisions.

It is one of the first to go forward in a blue state.

Trans Sports Ban With Genital Inspections Gains Enough Signatures To Appear On Washington State Ballot
The initiative collected 400,000 signatures, and will be one of the first major attempts to get an anti-trans law onto the ballot in a state that has dubbed itself a "refuge" for transgender people.

1. The federal government has just attempted to enact a national trans youth care ban.

A new HHS rule would shutter most gender-affirming care for trans youth nationwide.

It violates multiple laws and the constitution, and will likely go into effect in a few months.

Our latest story here:
Nationwide Trans Youth Care Ban Imminent As Trump Admin Announces "Nuclear Option" Federal Rule
The new federal rule formalizes previous threats to hospitals to pull Medicaid funding, and represents a significant legal stretch by this administration.
