back when i posted on twitter, i very rarely got stuff that go viral (100+ likes).
i can get up to 1.5k followers on my main twitter but those follower counts go up very slowly and most of them are just bots/spam accs.
over here i managed to surpass that number even if i combine my other socmeds.

Earlier this year I ran a Kickstarter. Bsky outperformed Twitter for backers by more than 3x.

Underrated point of discussion with the AI + social media uproar is giving thanks to patrons of the arts, especially non-artists, who are willing to put in the effort to support artists at a time when it has never been easier or more normalized to do the opposite.

i drew 1 million bad drawings and was the worst artist in my friend group online for years. i like my art now, and not only do i like my art, i like being able to try to help other peoples' art reach people. learning to draw is worth the thousands of bad drawings you make to learn.

blocklists might be one of the worst features of this site just because you have to place insurmountable amounts of trust in a random person operating them to not cut you off from entire networks without notice or appeal
really the only advice I can give both new and old users is don’t sub to blocklists, because people use them for revenge and trolling and you’ll end up blocking people you like 💀
Why tf? Were you added to one of these revenge blocklists? I have a bunch of folks blocking me because of those. Alas :///

bluesky's actual biggest problem is that people who think blocklists should be built into a site have the ear of the development team and that the development team is dumb enough to listen to them in the first place. That's why they keep focusing on adding more granular filters and not like, polls
