I bought this a couple of years ago, to try and improve my thinking and writing about films (my work writing tends to be technical and often boiled down to tables and bullet points), but haven't used it yet

There's a rising disrespect, in both gigs and cinemas, where people seem to be fine with buying their ticket, but then not paying attention to the thing they're there to see, an "I've paid to be here so I can do what I want"

Tapped his shoulder and asked him to stop talking

Do you feel subtitles lessen the overall movie watching experience?: No. You quickly adjust and the reading is as natural as the rest of paying attention to the film.
